Paris and the Camino Provides: Lost Baggage

Air France was kind enough to lose Jacob’s bag. It was eventually determined that the bag was never loaded on the plane. So- it made the trip to JfK but was then left behind. This meant that we needed to replace Jake’s gear- in one evening.

There is a saying that “The Camino Provides”. Once again this was proven true. Our hotel reservation was within a block of the University of Paris. Because of this,there were over a dozen sports gear shops within a block or so of the hotel, including a Decathlon. We were able to purchase new gear for him before dinner.

While it was definitely an inconvenience, the lost bag was not trip- ending. I’m very proud of Jake and how he took the situation in stride. We set out the next morning for Bayonne. Burn Camino!
